I don't like PHPLD since it's lacking in good functions for checking for broken links. The builtin function is not working so well so therefore I use linkmachine instead for my directory projects.

    Hi 2W,
You need not be a expert with scripts. the scripts listed here are great. You can easily install them. If not you can hire a free lancer to install it for you. Domain parking a worst thing for visitors.

Definitely an excellent comprehensive list of resources. I'll be sure to pass this onto a friend, who was actually after something like this. Thanks!

This is a great resource! As a guy who is in the financial services industry and has limited web development skills, these all look like they're right up my alley.

    Thanks!

I like Pligg, but looks like they still have a lot bugs/features to be improved. I believe for a new webmaster, you can't do much changes to the Pligg templates. But, i found a lot of Pligg site come out after Pligg goes open source. But i heard Digg will sue Pligg, is it true?

hey dude.....where are the joomla and drupal? don't you consider them as a affordable or outstanding script for developing the website??

Thanks for your comment, I am aware of those scripts but have not had the opportunity to try them out myself because of their similarities with WordPress ~DotSauce

I am in favor of pligg!
Pligg is really your best friend. Seo friendly to start off, revenue sharing system to end with. I am implementing the adsense revenue sharing system as an incentive in my eclassified website

while i'm adding blogs and links to it, people will make money by promoting digging and commenting products.

At the end of the day I think pligg is a long way to go.
