I have to admit as a reader I prefer the short snipet format. Time is very valuable to me, so small tidbets with a link to more is what I prefer to see. This way I can get the idea of the article, and choose to read or not then quickly move on to the next item.

Great news, regardless of what to do about news, you have a great looking layout. I read the article about tucows, its a shame so many domain names are taken up and they are asking ridiculous prices. Keep it up man.

I wrestle with the problem of lengthier articles versus short snippets all the time. I think that this is an excellent way of handling it and you should continue doing it.
