.god is ridiculous but not necessarily because of religion but because ICANN is unable to manage what they have now so all these new extensions are unnecessary. How is it we build the city without first building an infrastructure? .GOD, .GOSH, .GEEZ ,,... how about .ICANN? Is this all really necessary? .COM is king and .MONEY is God so we don't need another extension.

To be honest I really don't see any benefit to adding a .god extension. We just keep adding more and more.

I don't know about .GOD domains, but I'll be hacked off if they start doing .DOG domains and I don't get automatic dibs on "MrFuzzylegs.god". He was my favorite childhood pet after all... And far superior to all other canines.

I can't imagine them actually going through with the God thing.

.god domains would be an insult to God. Religious organizations should use .org domains or a new one like .rel

I really don't understand how a new ending for domain names can create more conflicts than the world of religion already has. Maybe people should stop to tell other people what to believe and just accept each others religion. Than a simple thing like a religious ending for domain names could be seen as a good thing and not like something is causing more problems.

I'm Hindu, and I really couldn't care less if there were .god or .hindu domains out there. But, I'm sure a lot of other people would protest, so I think it would be best if those TLDs weren't used.
