I occurs to me that acronyms may be at the top of the list because we're already registered all the good domain names with real words in them.

Thanks for your reply Barcelona. I could not answer your question definitively, but I do know that Germany has a very large domaining community. There are also a lot of valuable Spanish domains. ~ DotSauce

Wow! Excellent research. We just published a whitepaper for the real estate industry about domain names - and how brands should be advised to choose domain names that are key word rich to augment the primary domain, and link then all together. Many real estate agents are also purchasing address specific domain names for their property virtual tours. I would not be surprised if Real Estate scales higher on this list - there are about 5 million active properties for sale at any given time in America and more than 1.2 million residential real estate agents.

I also learned that there will be an auction of 2600 real estate domains in San Francisco this June. They are billing it as the biggest sale ever for real estate.

After the finance cricis the Real Estate has become the hardest niches. Its difficult to manage real estate sites, but i see a light in the end of the tunel.
