that's crazy, just think how much marketing and promotion they could have bought for that amount. Now they're 5 mil in the hole even before they started.

Dude, you bloggers do no fact checking whatsoever and repeat BS that someone with a specific agenda originally posted, there has been no announcement from our camp on any of the items speculated about seo.com, webtargeted, or buydomains, or any asset of ours for that matter unless it was done by our PR company, and therefore you might assume nothing else is true, other than that SEO.com is in fact a WVC asset now.

Why not have your blogger community pretend that facts matter before repeating the wrong ones?
Go get the original source for leading you all on and now leaving yet another permanent internet trail full of junk text that effects the market for other small company investors.

A year or two ago the people who owned SEO.com were going around offering the site for sale for one million dollars.

The domain SEO.com was owned by a company in Florida that manufactured electro-optic devices (Schwartz Electro-Optical) such as are used in over-the-road automatic toll machines. That company went bankrupt and the domain was held by the bankruptcy attorney for some time. His asking price was $75K in early 2006. I'm kicking myself for not buying it, but I thought the price was a little steep.

for all of the people who are saying that they are starting to criticise the company for the purchase should take a look at erealestate .com for some answers. It is a one time expense. Now they can provide a service that is extremley valuable for almost every industry that uses the web and have instant credibility.

It doesn't really matter that much whether your domain name falls under the specific industry. It is the constant effort that gets things moving up in SEO.
  • Tyler Cordaro · 9 months ago
That is way too much to pay for a domain.
  • renier · 3 months ago
This is mad how much domains is still worth.

    Thanks for the update.
